DBS Esso card savings stack on top of Esso's base discounts. Here's how it breaks down:
- Esso base discount: 10% total
- 5% Esso station site discount (automatic)
- 5% Esso Smiles loyalty discount (optional, but recommended)
- DBS Esso card: 8% instant discount applied on top of the Esso discounts. This is applied on the board price before you pay.
- ~5% monthly rebate (Additional Savings) — S$8 + $2 = $10 fuel savings, capped at $10 per month.
- To qualify, you must spend a minimum of S$160 nett fuel spend per calendar month at Esso service stations in Singapore.
- Mobile Wallet payments (Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, Google Pay) do NOT qualify towards the S$160 minimum spend.
- Rebate is awarded to your DBS Esso Card Account within 3 to 5 months after the qualifying calendar month.
The rebate structure means that if you spend more than ~$160/month on Esso fuel (nett amount after the 8% DBS instant discount), the rebate will be capped at $10. Remember that only direct card payments (not mobile wallets) count towards the S$160 qualifying spend.
