Where Are Singapore's Biggest Petrol Discounts?

Many drivers spend time comparing petrol credit cards, but one factor is often missed: where you choose to refuel. In Singapore, headline fuel prices may look similar across major brands, yet the effective amount you pay can vary considerably when station discounts, loyalty promotions and local campaigns are taken into account.

Some stations consistently offer larger upfront discounts than others, while certain areas become attractive because several brands are close by and competing for the same pool of drivers. Knowing where these “fuel-saving hotspots” tend to appear can help you trim your pump bill before your bank rebate is even applied.

Here are some of the places worth watching when you are looking for the best value at the pump.

1. The Independent Kiosk Outposts (Cnergy Outlets)

The deepest baseline discounts in Singapore do not come from the major multinational oil companies. They belong to Cnergy, a home-grown brand owned by Union Gas Holdings that has reshaped the market with aggressive pricing.

The locations: Cnergy operates three high-traffic stations at Cnergy Dunman (743 Dunman Rd), Cnergy Queensway (260 Queensway), and Cnergy Toh Tuck (50 Old Toh Tuck Rd).

The discount vibe: while mainstream networks often require you to navigate complex bank-card tiers for price cuts, Cnergy offers substantial independent price drops directly at the counter. For drivers signed up for the $5 lifetime membership card, baseline rates for RON 95 can sit around $2.64 per litre, compared with the broader islandwide baseline before card rebates. Private-hire and taxi drivers often get even deeper concessions.

The catch: because the network is limited to just three locations islandwide, expect notable queues during peak commuter rush hours.

2. Sinopec stations with large upfront discounts

Sinopec has become known for running some of the stronger station-specific promotions in Singapore. Rather than relying only on card partnerships, selected stations can offer substantial instant savings directly at the pump.

Weekend offers and temporary promotions can make Sinopec especially appealing for drivers who are not using a specialised fuel card. In some cases, the station discount alone may already be larger than the regular card reward available elsewhere.

Locations that often attract attention include:

Because these offers can change quickly, it is worth checking the latest prices before you head out.

3. The Upper Thomson and Ang Mo Kio fuel corridor

Another strong area for savings is the stretch around Upper Thomson and Ang Mo Kio Avenue 1, where several fuel retailers sit close to one another. When a cluster of stations competes for the same commuters, drivers can benefit from a combination of station discounts, card promotions and seasonal campaigns.

Popular stations in this zone include:

When combined with an eligible fuel card, the effective savings can be significantly higher than the headline station discount alone.

Always compare before you pump

Fuel promotions in Singapore can change every few days. A station that looks cheapest one week may not be the best value the next, especially once a new bank promotion or station campaign kicks in.

Before filling up, compare the latest pump prices, station discounts and your eligible card savings. A quick check can easily save several dollars on a full tank, and those savings add up over the course of a year.

At PumpWhere, we track petrol prices across Singapore and help motorists compare station discounts, card promotions and effective pump prices in one place, making it easier to find the best value before every refuel.
